My 2nd MVP year began today

This was an exciting day. July 1st is famous to be the MVP renewal date. So first

I am of course honored, humbled, excited and proud to receive this award (MVP for Office Apps & Services) the second time (to 2020-2021). It is a great feeling to get that email that I can be part of the amazing MVP community – to be able to share knowledge, make new friends and learn more. Thank you everyone involved, giving me opportunites and making this possible.

I have made lots of new friends and participated in this great community. I was lucky to attend MVP Summit 2019 at Redmond where I met several of community superstars in person. Ignite 2019 also gave me the opportunity to meet lots of MVPs and other people and have great conversations and fun with them. There were also several other in-person events.. until mid-March this year. However, I have been lucky enough to be able to make best out this situation: having lots of online meetings, speaking in several online events and getting to know new people thru online – and be able to call them friends. Since I have been working from home (or anywhere) for a long time the transition wasn’t as bad for me.

The future is different. It is going to see more meetings online than it did before – and it is a good thing. Why travel an hour-two-three for one hour meeting? What is going to be great is the face to face meetings: they will have much more value than they did before. They are not taken for granted – at least not for a while.

Perhaps we can also start talking about meetings and work, without specifically mentioning that is going to be a Teams (online) meeting or face to face meeting. Or that someone is working from home or “remotely”. We just meet and work. From anywhere and be flexible.

For this next MVP year I am going to continue my passion about modern worklife, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365! I am glad you readers are here with me – because #CommunityRocks!

PS. Have you noticed that Call for Speakers for #TeamsFest is open until the end of July 2020?
